Play The Cards You Are Dealt, or Fold Them
Let's face it, we are all frustrated with our life now. We are complaining about what's going on around the world nowadays, none of us like it. Yet, what can we do? Are we going to continue to act like a crybaby and rant about what's wrong with our life nowadays? Instead of coming up with solutions, we are obsessing over the problem. Silly, isn't it? Everyone is so worried about this pandemic that they ask themselves "Why" instead of the "How". We be going round and round spinning our wheels, saying "Why now?" "Why me?" "Why us?". Never have we thought of "How can I survive this storm?" "How can I help myself when everyone is twisted inside out?"
Human nature.
We worry over things that are yet to come. We fear over things that are yet to come. Seneca puts it best, "We suffer more often in imagination than reality". It is true. We drain our energy on things that don't matter. Are things going to change the louder you complain? Certainly not. Are things going to change when you start focusing on how to get it done? Perhaps. Things might not turn out the way you desired, but at least you try to get it done. It is no different than between completely ignoring the chance you are granted in life or giving everything a shot. CEO of Bare Performance Nutrition (BPN), Nick Bare, puts it best, "Play the cards you are dealt or fold them". If you try, there is a chance you might win the game. However, if you fold your card, there is a zero chance of you winning.
It's up to your decision to continue the game. If you decide to play with the cars you are dealt, it equates to coming up with solutions on overcoming this pandemic. If you decide to fold them, it means you continue to spout about this whole pandemic stuff, when clearly even you yourself know you can do better.
Will you play the cards you are dealt? Or will you fold them?
